Day 1 - 24th September. Arrive in Hanoi (D)
Welcome to Vietnam! Arriving at Noi Bai airport you will be transferred to our hotel in Hanoi's famous Old Quarter. Welcome Dinner.
Day 2 - 25th September. Hanoi City tour (B)
Today we enjoy a 1/2 day city tour of the fascinating Hanoi. Free afternoon to explore and discover. Evening time we'll get the chance to enjoy the excitement of Hanoi's Old Quarter nightlife.
Day 3 & 4 - 26th+27th September . Ha Long Bay Cruise (B,L,D x 2)
After a 4 hour journey we board our Halong Bay Cruise to feast on a delicious seafood luncheon whilst cruising through some of the thousands of limestone karsts within this stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. Swim and kayak in the bays emerald waters, explore caves with incredible formations and spend 2 nights enjoying the tranquility of Ha Long Bay.
Day 5 - 28th September. Hanoi - Hue Overnight train (B,L)
We welcome the morning on our Halong Bay cruise boat with a session of Tai Chi on the deck and a leisurely breakfast before cruising to shore. Returning to Hanoi we'll freshen up and then board the famous famous Reunification Express sleeper train to Hue.
Day 6 - 29th September. Hue Tour (B,L)
Upon arrival to Hue we'll head out to explore the historical city of Hue. Our day tour of Hue includes a visit to the imperial citadel, an emperor's tomb, Tien Mu Pagoda and a delicious vegetarian meal prepared by Buddhists nuns!
Optional- Countryside Motorbike tour.. Passenger only, not riding!
Day 7 - 30th September. Travel from Hue to Hoi An (B)
You will leave Hue and head south through coastal rice paddies before taking the scenic mountainous route over the spectacular Hai Van Pass. In the afternoon, you will arrive at the once bustling river port of Hoi An. AFL grand final day! ;-)
Day 8 - 1st October. Hoi An (B)
A free day in Hoi An, a shopping mecca which id famous for it's tailoring with a huge variety of fabrics from which to choose. You can feast on the local seafood, explore local markets, relax on the beaches, do a Hoi An cooking class or take a tour to the famous My Son ancient ruins!
Day 9 - 2nd October. Hoi An (B)
Another free day to relax, shop, cooking classes, massage, cycle the countryside or dine at some of the best restaurants Vietnam has to offer.
Day 10 - 3rd October. Travel from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) (B)
A short flight from Da Nang brings us to the economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City. Enjoy a walking tour to take in sights and sounds of this famous Asian city. Maybe a sunset cocktail at one of the sky bars to see the amazing transition of Ho Chi Minh City from day to night!
Day 11 - 4th October. Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi Tunnels (B,)
This morning we take the one and half hour journey to visit the historical Cu Chi Tunnels. There is so much to see on this highly entertaining tour which will leave you marvelling at the tenacity and endurance of the Viet Cong.
Day 12 - 5th October. Ho Chi Minh (B,D)
Free day to rest, explore or grab those last minute souvenirs in the vibrant and lively Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 13 - 6th October. Departure Day (B)
It's time to say goodbye. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport
